The "automatic" oiling system isn't the same as the self-oiling mechanism found in larger saws; instead, it uses a bulb that you press to supply oil to the bar and chain. All these mini saw blades need lubrication to perform optimally, so it's advisable to press the lubrication button quite frequently while cutting. (Using universal saw chain oil for quick and effective cutting is suggested.)
